BRIDGE PASTOR
Glenda Simpkins Hoffman
Picture
Glenda is passionate about stories, so she enjoys reading, writing, watching movies, and teaching to connect her and others’ stories with God’s great story of redemption in Jesus.

Glenda’s story began in the West. She was raised in a small town in Nevada and went to college in Utah. After graduating, she served in campus ministry in Northern California and Moscow, Russia. After marrying, she attended a seminary and then served two congregations. Stuart, Glenda’s beloved husband of 31 years, entered Life Triumphant in January 2023. She has two young adult children who are attending college locally.

Glenda believes every great story is about transformation and community, so she is passionate about spiritual formation. As we learn to rely more and more on the love of God, the grace of Christ, and the power of the Spirit, we experience God accomplishing for us what we can’t accomplish on our own. She knows from personal experience and over 40 years of ministry that intentional spiritual practices, authentic community, and faith-stretching experiences are the means God uses to transform us into people who can reach out with love and compassion in this broken and hurting world.
WORSHIP and MUSIC

I'm honored to be the Director of Worship, Music and Children's Ministries here at Little Falls for over 12 years.

I have a deep passion for creating inspired, welcoming and meaningful worship services through music, liturgy and programming. And creating a fun and Jesus centered environment for our kiddos!

I am a native of Montrose, PA. I grew up in a loving family that shaped and molded me into who I am today! My hometown church, First Presbyterian Church of Montrose, was full of life, love, music and Christ. That nurturing church is when and where Christ came into my heart. From an early age I knew that I had a gift for music and in the church is where I got my start. God had me right where He wanted me and continues to mold me into who I am today.

I live in Catharpin, VA which is very close to the Manassas Battlefields with my wonderful wife, son (in college) and crazy cat! I love to write and record music in my home studio and hope to have a Christmas collection recorded by December 2025!

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, where I was blessed with amazing parents and a fantastic brother! From a young age, I was drawn to science, animals, and music.

I attended Colorado State University, where I majored in Zoology and played in the marching band. College was a time of discovery—not just about animals, but also about myself and my faith. Living in a co-ed dorm with fellow students who loved Jesus helped shape my spiritual journey. It was also where I met the man I would one day marry!

My husband serves in the Army, and together we’ve lived all over this incredible country. I’ve had the opportunity to work as a zookeeper at a few of our stops, blending my passion for animals with hands-on care. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for both structure and compassion—qualities that continue to serve me in every season of life.

Eventually, I stepped away from zookeeping to focus on raising our three wonderful children and supporting our family. Today, I’m grateful to serve as the Office Manager at Little Falls Presbyterian Church. I love helping things run smoothly behind the scenes and being part of a community grounded in connection, purpose, and faith!
CHILDREN'S CHURCH INSTRUCTOR

I was born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe. My father was a farmer, and my mother is a retired women and children’s right lawyer.

I was raised in a big immediate family with six sisters, and my parents opened our home to an even bigger extended family, including neighbors and strangers who became family. Our house was the place everyone was always safe and welcome. My parents nurtured compassion, love and commitment to service and community, that I would carry with me 7000 miles away when I moved to  the USA in 2006.

I live in Bethesda Maryland, and got an undergrad degree in English with a focus on British Literature from U of MD, (go Terps!) and have worked with children my entire professional life, as a career nanny and now sharing my love of God with the amazing children at Little Falls Presbyterian Church. I was brought up Episcopalian, and met several of the friends I still hold dear today-at Sunday school! My faith has literally carried me across oceans.  I hope to help grow the children’s ministry and make it a place where our young people can grow their relationships with God, and each other.
