Sunday Worship Services
9:30 a.m. & 11 a.m.
Our worship services offer a familiar feel with a relevant message. God and the Bible are amazingly relevant to people living in 21st century northern Virginia. Many of the ways we worship God in our services have been around for thousands of years: praying, confessing, singing, sharing in baptism and communion, reading the scriptures. Christianity has a long heritage and a bright future. We like connecting to all of it.
Our services are normally at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. While the content of the services is the same, the styles vary. At 9:30 music is led by our band. At 11:00, Todd Robinson leads hymns from the piano, with acoustic guitar added in. This service features anthems from our choir as well as soloists and small ensembles. During the summer we meet and worship together at 10 a.m.
Nursery is available for children from newborn to preschool and located on the top floor, which is elevator accessible. Children in elementary grades worship with the adults for the first ¼ of the service, then leave for Children’s Church where they receive a lesson specially prepared for them.
We are a neighborhood church and a multi-generational congregation. We enjoy the richness of a large extended family. Dr. Matt Merrill preaches at worship services. Messages are topical and scriptural - timeless values providing Biblical guidance for contemporary life presented in accessible language.
The sanctuary and chapel are accessible by ramp and elevator. The rear parking lot off Williamsburg Boulevard provides the closest access to elevators through the double glass doors. Large print Bibles and hymnals, as well as hearing assist units, are available for worship.
