It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High. Psalm 20:1

It is our joy and privilege to come before God with singing. Remembering that the congregation is our largest and most important choir, we have several musical groups which lead music at Little Falls. While our music takes various forms (great hymns of the past and present, praise songs, world music, etc), the purpose is to praise our great God. There are a variety of ways to participate in our music program:

8:30 Bands

Little Falls is blessed with a large group of gifted and generous musicians – amateur and professional, vocal and instrumental. Music leadership at the 8:30 Sunday morning worship service in the chapel is provided by guitar and vocal ensemble. The ensemble, called the 8:34, leads early service worshippers in a varied selection of of praise and worship songs. There are currently 2 bands, who are always looking for new members and occasional players. Even if you just want to sit in on a rehearsal to improve your abilities or learn new songs, you are welcome to join in.

The Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir provides music leadership for the 11:00 AM worship service. Chancel choir rehearses on Thursday nights, 8 to 9:30 pm, and Sunday mornings at 10AM during the school year. Anthem repertoire includes traditional music of the church, spirituals, gospel, world music, and contemporary Christian music. The volunteer choir is open to adults and high school students. No previous choir experience is necessary, just a willing heart and voice. Music education is an important component of the Chancel Choir program. Choral/Vocal music instruction is part of every rehearsal. We sing wonderful special music for Christmas and Easter accompanied by Brass and Strings, and Harps The choir has presented extended works including the Pinkham Christmas Cantata, the Faure Requiem, portions of Messiah, and the Durante Magnificat.

Occasional Instrumentalists

Do you play the saxophone or the flute? Did you play timpani in college? Are you looking for an excuse to hold onto your old trumpet that you wife wants you to sell? We need you! Various times throughout the year we need extra instrumentalists at both of our worship services.

Family Ministry Music

Our Family Time begins with music each Sunday at 10 AM. We are always looking for vocalists, guitar players, keyboardists and more to join in. We sing songs with movement, songs of the seasons, and some of our favorites from Vacation Bible School.
