hmmmm......................................Don't know how to start a conversation about faith with your kid? We've all been in those tricky situations.... It's so often on the tip of my tongue, or it's so far removed I don't know even where to begin. I've faced conversations so daunting I wasn't sure how to handle them, or even where to start with friends and kids alike on sharing my faith. Putting words to our faith can seem like of the hardest skills to learn. But, with a little observation and a lot of practice you can accomplish just that. 

How many of you can speak a foreign language? My twin sister is now fluent in spanish but it wasn't always this way. I witnessed her first year and a half of conversations with spanish speakers and, well... It wasn't pretty at all. It was akward, uncomfortable and filled with much patience and laughter! But now she carries on in spanish with ease in any situation, even adapting to the specific dialect of the person she is speaking with. 

Our faith can sometimes feel like that. We know we love God, we know He's there, and we know we want to share him with our kids, but how and where do we begin... Allowing ourselves to go through the messiness of the process will eventually lead us to the result of sharing/teaching our faith with ease.

Family Time is designed to give you a chance to learn together as a family in a relaxed and fun environment. It gives you a chance to learn what your kids are learning when they leave during the sermon. This gives you the opportunity to discuss specifics at home from the lesson each week. And the best part is, you can sit back and watch me do the fumbling through the tough, and impromptu questions posed by your kids. If I can do it, than you can too. And we'll all be on our way to sharing our faith with enthusiasm and clarity.
